You'll hear how fluctuating levels of oestrogen and progesterone affect gingival inflammation, vascular permeability, immune responses, salivary function, microbial balance, periodontal health, and oral comfort. We also discuss why the same level of plaque can produce very different clinical outcomes depending on a patient's hormonal status.
